You can also put up to 5 commanders on the Wall and 1 commander can become your lord.

Upgrading[]
You can upgrade your commanders in several ways:
- Military rank (I to VIII)
- Gear
- Quality (color)

In addition, you can increase your friendship level with the commanders in the Tavern.
